Our 9:15 am Sunday worship is the highlight of our daily relationship with our Heavenly Father as well as a chance for members of the body to fellowship with each other. Our service at Family of Faith blends a liturgical foundation with contemporary praise music and other charismatic elements. This combination allows all members to connect to the Lord in ways they are most comfortable and accustomed. Here is an overview of our service activities:
Opening
One of our elders opens the service with prayer followed by the singing of our opening hymn.
Call to Worship
This responsive reading a remembrance of our baptism in which God claimed us in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Confession
After being given a verse for silence and reflection, we consider our sins and ask God for forgiveness.
Medley of Praise
Feeling a sense of joy and release following confession, our congregation sings a series of uplifting contemporary songs. Open prayer is encouraged after singing has concluded.
God's Word Speaks
A collection of scripture is read usually including the Old Testament, New Testament and Gospel.
Sermon
The pastor or an elder delivers a message about how we as Christians can overcome this world and live a life that aligns with God’s will.
Offering
We have the privilege to give back to God a portion of the blessing that he has bestowed upon us.
Communion
We believe the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is given in, with, and under the bread and wine for our forgiveness.
Closing
The pastor delivers the blessing and the congregation joins together for the closing hymn.
